Richmond VA Medical Center cancels all appointments for Thursday amid water crisis

(WRIC) -- All outpatient appointments, procedures and surgeries at the Richmond Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center scheduled for Thursday have been canceled as the city struggles with a water crisis. Richmonders have had little to no water since Monday, Jan. 6, when a malfunction of the city reservoir system sent shockwaves through both the city and multiple surrounding counties. On Wednesday, Jan. 8, the Richmond VA Medical Center announced that all outpatient appointments, procedures and surgeries for Thursday, Jan. 9 have been canceled due to these ongoing issues.
