Richmond’s Easter on Parade hops off on Monument Avenue
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) --The streets of Monument avenue saw hundreds of residents pack the streets today as the annual Easter on Parade, came out to celebrate.
The 50th annual Easter on Parade kicked off today, April 20, from 1p.m. to 5 p.m. and featured activities and things like arts and crafts, live music and vendors.
8News Photojournalist Nikkita Tyler spoke with some attendees who shared their experience at this years celebration.
Local Richmond resident Keith Bourbon shared with 8News that, "It's been a great annual tradition that I do with my friend...and its been a lot of fun, a lot of vendors, a lot of people and a lot of good times."
Other residents have been coming since they were kids with their parents and are now attending this years Easter celebration as adults themselves.
