Section of Chesterfield roadway to close for pipe replacement
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A portion of River Road (Route 602) in Chesterfield County will be closed next week for a crossline pipe replacement project.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), there will be two closures taking place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- one on Tuesday, March 25 near 15730 River Road and another on Wednesday, March 26 near 15630 River Road.
Homeowners will still be able to access their property during the project, but VDOT has provided other drivers with detours:
- For those heading eastbound: Travel east on River Road (Route 602) north, to Riverway Road (Route 659) west, to Beach Road (Route 655) west, to Winterpock Road (Route 621) south, to Black Road (Route 621) east,
- For those heading southbound: Travel west on River Road (Route 602) north, to Black Road (Route 621) east, to Winterpock Road (Route 621) east, to Beach Road (Route 655) south, to Riverway Road (Route 659) west, back to River Road (Route 602).
