Section of Moseley Road in Chesterfield to close for pipe replacement

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Moseley Road in Chesterfield County will be closed for two days next week for a pipe replacement project.

According to a release from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), a portion of Moseley Road, between Genito Road and Skinquarter Road, is scheduled to be closed for the replacement work.

The closure will take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on both Wednesday, Oct. 22, and Thursday, Oct. 23, according to VDOT. Residents in the area will still have access to their homes.

VDOT said the work will be dependent on weather conditions. The agency recommended the following detours for drivers:

  • Northbound Traffic: Travel east on Genito Road, then south on Otterdale Road, then west on Duval Road, then west on Skinquarter Road back to Moseley.
  • Southbound Traffic: Travel east on Skinquarter Road, then east on Duval Road, then north on Otterdale Road, then west on Genito Road back to Moseley.
