Section of Richmond roadway closed due to water main break

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Bank Street in the City of Richmond is closed on Sunday morning due to a water main break.
At 7 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, Virginia State Capitol Police issued an alert, saying that Bank Street from 9th Street to 10th Street was closed due to a water main break.
Richmond City Gas and Water are working to fix the issue.
Police ask that residents avoid the area due to heavy water flow onto Bank Street toward Main Street.
