Section of Thurston Road in Chesterfield County to close for pipe replacement

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Thurston Road in Chesterfield County will close tomorrow for a pipe replacement project.
The closure on Thurston Road between Hopkins and Dorsey Road will take place on Thursday, Dec. 11, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Homeowners will maintain access to their property. However, drivers should follow these detours according to VDOT:
- Eastbound traffic will travel west on Thurston Road, north on Hopkins, east on Route 611 (Kingsland Road) and south on Dorsey Road.
- Westbound traffic will travel east on Thurston Road, north on Dorsey Road, west on Kingsland Road and south on Hopkins Road.
