Section of West Quaker Road to close in Prince George for pavement repairs

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Drivers should expect a section of West Quaker Road in Prince George County to close for pavement repairs.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily starting Thursday, June 12, and ending Friday, June 13, a section of West Quaker Road between Prince George Drive and County Drive in Prince George County to conduct pavement repairs, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The department said the road will be reopened each evening. Traffic will be detoured to Prince George Drive and County Drive while part of West Quaker Road is closed during the day.

The following are the detours drivers should follow during this period:

  • Westbound Traffic: Travel south on Route 156 (Prince George Drive) to Route 460 (County Drive), turn right onto Route 460 (County Drive) and travel west back to Route 629 (West Quaker Road).
  • Eastbound Traffic: Travel east on Route 460 (County Drive) to Route 156 (Prince George Drive), turn left onto Route 156 (Prince George Drive) and travel north to Route 629 (West Quaker Road).
