Several packages stolen from Richmond residential building on New Year’s Eve

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Several packages were stolen from a Richmond residential building on New Year's Eve, police said.

On Friday, Jan. 9, the Richmond Police Department took to Facebook to ask for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a Dec. 31, 2025 burglary at a residential building in the 100 block of W. Franklin Street.

At about 1 a.m. that day, a male suspect forced his way into a locked door on the property and stole "several packages." He then left on foot.

Police did not specify exactly how many packages were taken or their estimated value.
