RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Richmond and multiple other Central Virginia localities Thursday night.
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 in the following Central Virginia localities:
- City of Richmond
- Chesterfield County
- Goochland County
- Powhatan County
A severe thunderstorm warning will be in effect until 11:15 p.m. Thursday in the following localities:
- Caroline County
- Hanover County
- Henrico County
- King and Queen County
- King William County
When a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, that means a severe thunderstorm has been located in the area of the impacted localities.
Up to 60 mph wind gusts are possible, which could cause damage to trees or power lines.
