Severe thunderstorm warning issued for some Central Virginia areas

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for several localities in the Central Virginia area.
The warning will remain in effect until 2:30 p.m. and includes the following areas:
- Nottoway County
- Dinwiddie County
- Amelia County
The thunderstorm was spotted in Dinwiddie County at 1:52 p.m., headed north at 15 mph. According to the weather service, the storm may include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail.
