Severe thunderstorm watch issued for some Central Virginia localities

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for some localities in Central Virginia on Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch, which will be in effect until 8 p.m. for the following localities on Thursday, July 31:

  • Caroline County
  • Essex County
  • Fluvanna County
  • Goochland County
  • Greene County
  • Hanover County
  • Louisa County
  • Northumberland County
  • Orange County
  • Richmond County
  • Westmoreland County
