Shamrock The Block to return to Richmond’s Scott’s Addition neighborhood for 20th year
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Shamrock The Block will return to Richmond's Scott's Addition area for its 20th year in mid-March.
Shamrock The Block, presented by Smiley's Bloody Mary, will return to the River City on March 14, with free admission.
Attendees can enjoy a day of live entertainment, food, beverages and celebration from noon to 6 p.m. on Leigh Street between Movieland at Boulevard Square, DMV Drive and Mid-Town Green -- the former Washington Commanders training facility.
The festival will feature dozens of food vendors, craft, artisan and professional vendors, local businesses, live entertainment and frosty beverages, including those by Brown Distributing.
Organizers said this year's event will have more bathrooms, beverage trucks and drink ticket lanes than "ever before."
Following the event, festivities will continue as the official afterparty-event The Park RVA hosts special events and drink specials.
Organizers said sponsors included Smiley’s Bloody Mary, Buy & Sell With Kell, Clear Water Capital, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Jack Daniels Tennessee Blackberry, Brown Distributing and Kona Big Wave, among others.
Proceeds from the festival will reportedly support the programs of the Five-O's Tiki Foundation and Project Local.
