Shred documents, learn how to prevent fraud at event in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Do you have old mail or documents you need to dispose of safely? AARP Virginia and Richmond Parks and Recreation will host an event in late October where you can shred documents and learn ways to protect yourself from fraud. From 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 1400 Oliver Hill Way, attendees will receive resources and information about how to protect against fraud and scams. Speakers from the Attorney General's office, the United States Postal Service, Senior Medicare Patrol and more will be in attendance. After the presentation, a shred truck will be available.
