Spring community health fair coming to Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A free community event aimed at helping residents connect with health resources is coming to Prince George County in mid-April.

The "Spring into Great Health Fair" will take over Prince George High School -- located at 7801 Laurel Spring Rd. -- from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, according to a press release from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

Attendees will be able to access a variety of health resources, including hearing, speech, vision, dental and glucose screenings, as well as blood pressure checks. Required vaccinations for rising 7th- and 12th-grade students will also be offered.

Additionally, this family-friendly event will feature activities, more than 50 community resources, speakers, workshops and food trucks. There will also be free food giveaways provided by Goodr, Feed More, the Waymakers Foundation and the Justin J. Davis Heart Foundation.

This event is made possible through VDH's Crater Health District, in partnership with the Prince George County government.
