StormTracker 8: Another system with more rain

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Rain and freezing rain will come to an end this morning as one system departs but there really isn't going to be much of a break because the second system, we've been tracking is on its heels and that'll bring more rain for this afternoon and evening. That rain will continue steady at times tonight and we will hit our high temperature around midnight tonight as we top out near 40.

The rain continues throughout the overnight and our temperatures will gradually rise into the lower 40s by early Thursday morning.

The rain will continue into the midday hours on Thursday and then taper off, but I think the clouds will persist across Central Virginia and that'll keep temperatures down to a high of 50.

Friday, Valentine's Day, will be a better day with partly sunny skies and highs near 45.

Another weather system will develop and push our way for Saturday so rain will develop during the afternoon and continue into Saturday evening and Saturday night. It will be a cool day with highs near 45.

More rain is possible Sunday and that should come to an end during the afternoon, but we will turn mild with highs near 60.

Chillier air will slide in for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the lower to middle 40s under partly sunny skies.

Our next weather system could arrive Wednesday bringing us a mixture of rain and snow with highs in the upper 30s.
