StormTracker 8: Intense thunderstorms with heavy rain until midnight

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Some intense showers and thunderstorms will continue until about midnight and then we will see mostly cloudy skies and it will be muggy with lows in the middle to upper 60s.

Monday will start off mostly cloudy and then the sunshine will develop making it a mixture of clouds and sun to partly sunny at times however there's another chance of some evening storms across central Virginia. It will remain warm and muggy with highs in the lower 80s.

Tuesday will feature partly sunny skies but there's a chance of scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening. Our high temperatures will climb into the middle to upper 80s.

Wednesday will be a hot day with highs near 90 under partly sunny skies. There is the chance for a few isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon and evening.

Thursday will also feature partly sunny skies, and it will be hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s. There is the chance for scattered late day showers and thunderstorms.

Friday is the first day of summer, but it doesn't officially begin until 10:42 but don't tell Mother Nature because we're looking for a partly sunny and hot day with highs around 90.

The heat and humidity will continue as we head into next week right now, we're looking at mostly sunny skies for Saturday, Sunday and Monday with highs in the lower 90s.
