StormTracker 8: Iso. T’Storms this evening; Warm weekend ahead
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - There will be a few isolated showers and thunderstorms this evening otherwise we will see mostly cloudy skies and it will be muggy tonight with lows near 60.
Clouds early Saturday morning will give way to partly sunny skies during the afternoon and it will be a warm and humid day with highs near 85.
Sunday will start off with a little bit of sunshine however a weather system will move in bringing us the chance of showers and storms in the afternoon and evening. Before those showers and storms slide in, we should see our high temperatures climb into the middle 80s.
Those showers and storms will continue for Sunday night and linger into Monday. In fact, it looks like the rain might hold on just a bit longer on Monday at least into the early afternoon and then even when that moves out, we will have mostly cloudy skies for the latter part of Monday. It will be cooler on Monday with highs near 60.
Tuesday will be a very cool day with highs in the lower 50s under mostly sunny skies.
There is the chance of frost for Tuesday night as our overnight lows fall back between 28 to 32.
Wednesday will also be a cool day with mostly sunny skies and highs near 55.
Sunshine will start the day on Thursday however clouds will increase ahead of our next weather system, and it will be a little more seasonable with highs near 65.
Friday looks to be a rainy day across Central Virginia with highs in the lower 60s.
Right now, there are some concerns that that system might cut off and hang over Southern New England and the northern Mid-Atlantic meaning we will stay with clouds and showers for Saturday with highs 60 to 65.
