StormTracker 8: Nothing but sunshine & high pollen levels today

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - The beginning half of the work week will stay quiet before we are stuck in an unsettled weather pattern come Wednesday. Temperatures will also warm as we head towards midweek.

It is a seasonably chilly start to the day, but with wall to wall sunshine today we will warm into the middle to upper 70s. This also means extreme levels of pollen are back in the forecast.

Mostly clear skies continue tonight with overnight lows dropping to near 50°.

Mostly sunny skies continue tomorrow with highs in the low to middle 80s. It will also be breezy from time to time with winds gusting 20-25mph.

Our next weather system approaches on Wednesday which brings us our next chance of showers and storms. We start the day with partly sunny skies on Wednesday and it will be warm with highs climbing into the upper 80s. Scattered rain showers and storms will move in for the afternoon and evening hours. The risk of late day showers and storms stays with us through Friday as this system sits over us.

The system looks to move offshore Friday night which brings drier and cooler temperatures for the weekend. High temperatures look to be near the middle 70s with a mixture of sun and clouds.
