StormTracker 8: Quiet and dry with warmer temperatures on the way

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Today will be the last day in the 70s for the week ahead as a big warmup is on the way. We stay mostly dry all week with unsettled weather moving in for the end of the week and weekend.

It is another seasonably cool start to the day and today we will see below average high temperatures once again. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 70s under sunny skies.

Mostly clear skies continue tonight and overnight lows drop into the low to middle 50s.

Quiet and dry conditions conditions for the next several days with highs back in the middle 80s tomorrow. Mostly sunny skies are still with us for Wednesday with highs in the middle to upper 80s.

The summer heat and humidity really return on Thursday with humid air and highs near 90. We stay hot on Friday, but our next big weather system moves in. Most of the day Friday looks to be dry, but clouds will quickly increase. Friday late afternoon and evening showers return to the area.

The weekend ahead is looking wet with the risk of scattered showers and storms with us both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 80s. This is still many days out and our weather models are not in full agreement so the weekend forecast could most definitely change.
