StormTracker 8: Sunny Sunday Skies

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - It will be a beautiful finish to the weekend with plenty of sunshine for all of us. Warmer temperatures return for the work week and also rain chances.

It is a cooler start to the day and this afternoon will be cooler with highs in the low to middle 70s. We will see plenty of sunshine and it will be breezy at times with winds gusting up to 20-25mph at times.

Winds diminish tonight and overnight lows will drop into the middle 40s.

Sunny skies continue tomorrow with highs in the middle to upper 70s. A few more clouds move in for Tuesday making for partly sunny skies and highs in the low to middle 80s.

Our next weather system moves in by the middle of the week bringing the risk of showers and storms back to the area. We will stay with partly sunny skies Wednesday, but clouds will thicken as we head towards lunch. Scattered showers and storms will move in by Wednesday afternoon and continue through the evening hours.

This system hangs over the area bringing us daily chances of scattered showers and storms through Friday. Each day it our chances look to be in the afternoon and evening hours, but of course we will keep you updated. High temperatures Wednesday through Friday will be very warm with highs in the middle to upper 80s.
