StormTracker 8: Very cold again today; warming slowly by the weekend
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - We will have mostly sunny skies this morning give way to full sunshine throughout the day. It will be very cold to start the day with temperatures in the lower teens, but wind chills will range from 0 to 10 above across Metro Richmond and points south however there could be below zero wind chill readings for areas to the north and west. Throughout the day the wind will diminish, and our temperatures will climb into the middle twenties so it will remain a very cold day. Clear skies will be with us tonight and the winds will be light and that will allow temperatures to drop back into the single digits across most of central Virginia. Thursday will be a little bit of a better day with partly sunny skies and highs near 35. Friday will be a little warmer as we climb to near 40 under sunny skies. Mostly sunny skies will be with us for Saturday with highs in the middle 40s. The best day of the weekend will be Sunday with highs near 50 under partly sunny skies. A weak weather system will approach the region on Monday providing us a few showers with highs in the middle 40s. Looking ahead to Tuesday and Wednesday we will see partly sunny skies both days with highs around 50.
