StormTracker 8: Warm & breezy before turning cooler
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - It will be the last day in the 80s for quite some time so enjoy the warmer weather before cooler air moves in for the work week. It will be another sunny day with a few high-level clouds moving in late in the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. It will also be breezy today with winds gusting to 25-30mph at time. Tonight, a boundary moves through the area which will bring us partly cloudy skies overnight. This is a mostly dry boundary, but a few isolated showers are possible. Overnight lows will drop to near 60. The breezy conditions continue into tomorrow and it will be cooler with highs in the low 70s. Partly cloudy skies will transition to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Tuesday our winds diminish, and our temperatures drop even more with high temperatures near 60. Mostly cloudy skies will be overnight and a few spotty rain showers are possible. Wednesday and Thursday morning frost is possible especially in the western counties as overnight lows will drop into the 30s. We stay cool on Wednesday with highs near 60. Thursday highs will be in the low 60s under sunny skies. The sunshine continues through the weekend and temperatures will be back to near seasonable in the low 70s. There is no significant rain in the forecast over the next week with the only chance of spotty showers being Tuesday. Levels on the James River are below 5 feet once again and will likely stay below 5 feet all week long with no big rain maker in the forecast.
