Richmond, Va (WRIC) -- After a seasonable Sunday across Central Virginia today, we are in for a nice warming trend this new work week, and the return of shower and thunderstorm chances, mainly in the PM hours. Details below.

Tonight’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and comfortable overnight temperatures, dipping down into the middle 40s.

Tomorrow’s forecast calls for a fantastic weather day, under partly sunny skies, possible isolated sprinkles or showers in the PM hours, and highs near 75 degrees.

Tuesday will be an even warmer day, under partly sunny skies, and highs in the lower 80s.

Wednesday will be a very warm day, under partly sunny skies, highs in the middle 80s, with late-day showers and thunderstorms from approximately 5:00 p.m. through 11:00 p.m. Any thunderstorms that develop late in the day on Wednesday, could produce the following: locally heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.

From Wednesday and beyond this new work week, we will be seeing multiple rounds of showers, due to multiple stalled out weather systems across the Mid Atlantic region.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, are all expected to be warm weather days, with highs in the lower 80s and isolated chances for PM showers.

Next Sunday, is Easter, and it will be a warm Holiday, with highs 75 to 80 degrees, under mostly cloudy skies, and scattered PM showers and thunderstorms.

Finally, next Monday, will be finally drying out, under mostly cloudy skies, and cooler temperatures with highs around 60 degrees.
