StormTracker8: Cool but Sunny Start to the Week

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Today will be cold, but sunny! Highs will be in the 40s. We don't have more precipitation in the forecast for today. Winds could gust near 25mph and keep wind chill near freezing this afternoon.

Tonight will be colder, with lows in the teens. You will need the layers as you head back to work and school tomorrow.

Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 30s. Wednesday and Thursday we will have a slow warming trend, and return to "normal" for this time of year. A frontal boundary on Thursday will drop our temperatures for Friday. We don't have precipitation in the forecast for this work week.

This weekend, we are looking at a potential for snow. There is general consensus we could see snow on Saturday evening into Sunday. This will be the next big system to watch for throughout this week. We are still 6-8 days out, so stay here for the latest.

Either way, we are tracking extremely cold weather in Central Virginia from Saturday through the start of next week.
