StormTracker8: Easter Sunday Showers & Storms; Sunshine Returns Monday
Richmond, Va (WRIC) -- Happy Easter! Be sure to have your umbrellas and rain jackets when you are going to church this morning. Temperatures today will be mild in the low 70s.
We will begin to cool earlier in the day due to the passing of a cold front. With this cold front, a weather system will be moving into Central Virginia and bring showers and storms starting around 9:00am. These showers and storms will last throughout the day and wrap around 6:00pm this evening. Be sure to have your umbrellas and rain jackets when you are going to church this morning!
Monday we will wake up cool in the mid 40s. The afternoon will feature seasonable temperatures in the mid 60s and mostly sunny skies.
Cooler air will be with us for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the low 60s and we will be waking up in the 30s on both days.
Lots of sunshine will be around for the middle of the week. For those heading to the Squirrels' home opener Tuesday night, a sweatshirt or light jacket would be good to have on hand.
Thursday will feature seasonable temperatures in the mid to upper 60s under partly sunny skies. This will be the start of our next warming trend.
To end our week Friday will be mild with highs in the mid 70s and the sunshine will have returned.
Sunny skies will be with us for next weekend and temperatures will be warm in the low 80s on Saturday and Sunday.
