StormTracker8: First Snow Finished; Dry & Cool Weekend ahead

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – We saw some good snowfall totals across Central Virginia, check out the totals we've been collecting all day long.

There might be a quick sprinkle or flurry this evening otherwise cloudy skies will be with us tonight and our overnight lows will dip back into the upper 20s so we could see some icy spots on roads by early Saturday morning.

Cloudy skies early Saturday will slowly give way to partly sunny skies during the afternoon, but it will remain chilly with highs near 45.

Sunday will feature mostly cloudy skies and it will stay chilly with highs in the middle to upper 40s.

Partly sunny skies will return for Monday with highs in the upper 30s.

Tuesday will also be a cool to chilly day with highs near 40 under partly sunny skies.

A weak weather system will pass through the region later Wednesday and that will bring us more clouds but it will also help to push our temperatures up into the upper 40s.

Partly sunny skies will be with us for Thursday with highs near 45.

As we look ahead toward next Friday some of our weather models show a weather system passing through Virginia or to the north of Virginia. Either way this will be a system we will watch and right now we are looking at this system bringing us rain showers with highs in the lower to middle 40s.
