StormTracker8: Flurries/Light Snow possible through Midnight tonight
Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- Central Virginia will continue to experience very cold conditions for the remainder of this current weekend. Details below.
Flurries/light snow remain possible through Midnight tonight.
Tonight’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies overnight, very cold temperatures, getting down to 10 to 15 degrees, windy conditions from time to time throughout the overnight, leading to wind chill values of zero to -5 degrees. Aside from the windy conditions, we are also concerned about Tidal Flooding, especially in Southeastern Virginia.

Tomorrow’s forecast calls for decreasing clouds throughout the day, cold temperatures, rising to 25 to 30 degrees, windy conditions from time to time throughout the day on Sunday, leading to wind chill values of 10 to 15 degrees. Aside from the windy conditions, we are also concerned about Tidal Flooding, especially in Southeastern Virginia.



Tomorrow night into Monday morning, will bring us another very cold overnight, under mostly clear skies and temperatures dropping down to 10 to 15 degrees.
Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and chilly temperatures, rising to 35 to 40 degrees. The good news is that, on Monday afternoon, we will finally start to get good melting of that snow and ice that has remained on the ground since last weekend.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for increasing clouds, leading to mostly cloudy skies, and cool temperatures, rising to 40 to 45 degrees. On Tuesday afternoon, we will see lots of melting of that snow and ice that has remained on the ground since last weekend.
Wednesday of next week, we will be tracking another weather system, but right now I’m only seeing the possibility of flurries at best, under mostly cloudy skies and temperatures rising to 35 to 40 degrees.
Thursday will be a chilly day, under partly sunny skies, and highs 30 to 35 degrees.
Friday will be a cool day, under partly sunny skies, highs 40 to 45 degrees, with flurries possible.
Looking ahead to next weekend, it will get colder again, with more arctic air on the way. The first half of February across all Central Virginia is looking to remain below average.
