StormTracker8: Possible shower on Sunday; big changes happening on Monday

RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) - I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season. We have big changes happening on Monday of next week, details below.

Tonight’s forecast for this Saturday night into Sunday morning, calls for increasing clouds overnight and seasonable temperatures, getting down to either side of 30 degrees.

Tomorrow’s forecast for our Sunday calls for mostly cloudy skies, a possible shower during the day, and the high for the day won’t occur until very late, as temperatures rise through the 50s, as a surface warm frontal passage approaches Sunday night and sweeps through the state of Virginia.

Tomorrow night into Monday morning will be interesting, because temperatures are expected to remain steady, if not rise through this overnight period, due to the surface warm frontal passage.

Monday’s forecast will be a busy weather day, as a strong cold front will be sweeping through the region leading to morning showers, followed by windy conditions and dropping temperatures during the afternoon hours.

Tuesday will be a very chilly and breezy day, under mostly sunny skies and highs around 40 degrees.

Wednesday is New Years Eve Day, and we will see partly sunny skies and highs in the middle 40s.

Thursday is New Years Day, and we will see partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s, to around 50 degrees. We will also see another weather system sweep through the region.

Friday will be a very chilly day, under partly sunny skies and highs only in the middle 30s.

Looking ahead to next weekend, we will see mostly cloudy skies both days and another warming trend, as we could see some showers by next Saturday night into next Sunday.
