StormTracker8: Spring warmth through the weekend

Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- Mainly clear skies this evening will give way to fully clear skies throughout the overnight and it will be a chilly one with lows in the upper 30s.

Friday will start off with sunshine, but some clouds will move in during the afternoon making it partly sunny and then we will see mostly cloudy skies by Friday evening. Friday is the first day of spring as it officially begins at 10:46 in the morning and it will feel like it as we top out in the upper 60s 70.

We could have a few showers sliding through the region Friday night into early Saturday morning with lows in the lower 50s.

Mostly sunny skies will return for Saturday, and it will be a very mild day with highs in the lower 70s.

Partly sunny skies will be with us for Sunday, and it will continue to be very mild with highs in the middle to upper 70s.

Clouds will increase for Monday with a few showers, and it will be mild in the morning with highs in the lower 60s.

Tuesday will feature partly sunny skies, and it will be cooler with highs in the middle 50s.

A weak weather system will push into the reason for Wednesday bringing more clouds and the risk of showers during the day. It will remain seasonably cool with highs in the middle to upper 50s.

Partly sunny skies will return for Thursday with highs in the upper 60s.

Friday will start off with sunshine, but some extra clouds are moving in the afternoon and some scattered showers develop across central Virginia. It will be mild with highs in the lower 70s.
