StormTracker8: Tropical Depression Chantal brings scattered showers & T’Storms

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Tropical Depression Chantal continues to weaken as she heads Northeast.

We can expect scattered showers and downpours through the early afternoon. Some isolated locations could receive 1-3 inches of rain in a short amount of time, so be cautious around low lying areas. Most of us will receive less than an inch of rain.

When the rain ends this afternoon, we will be left with humid and warm conditions. Highs will be in the upper 80s. I don't expect rain chances this evening or overnight.

Tomorrow will be very hot and humid. Highs could reach the upper 90s and "feels like" temperatures could surpass 105. We will also have a chance for isolated afternoon and evening storms tomorrow.

More rain will be in the forecast for the rest of this week, in the form of isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Heat and humidity will be here for the entire week!
