Suspect allegedly steals multiple packages from Richmond mailroom

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A suspect allegedly broke into a Richmond mailroom last month and stole multiple packages, prompting a larceny investigation.

According to the Richmond Police Department, a person entered a building in the 100 block of East 2nd Street and stole several packages from the mailroom at 5:39 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25.

Police said the incident was captured on a nearby surveillance camera and that the man ran away on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect, pictured above, has been described by police as a Black man with facial hair and standing at about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
