"Richmond is very popular and well-known with their tacky lights -- it's really become a holiday destination and we just thought, 'why not take that concept and put it on foot?'" said Nan Callahan with Sports Backers. "It's a very positive event. It's fun to see people doing something positive for themselves for the holiday. We don't emphasize being active as much around the holidays and this is a nice one that just encapsulates that."
