Teacher at Prince George County elementary school charged with crimes related to child sexual assault material
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A third-grade teacher at David A. Harrison Elementary School in Prince George County has been arrested and charged with crimes relating to child sexual assault material. Twenty-seven-year-old Miranda Janeway was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 15, for the following four felony charges, according to the Prince George County Police Department: Knowingly reproduce, sell, give away, distribute, electronically transmit, display, purchase, or possess child sexual assault material with intent to sell, give away, distribute, transmit or display it. While being 18 years of age or over and maintaining a custodial or supervisory relationship with a child under the age of 18 who was not the spouse of the accused and who was not emancipated, with lascivious intent, knowingly and intentionally expose the accused’s sexual or genital parts to such child. Knowingly possess child sexual assault material. Produce or make child pornography. Police said the child is less than 15 years old and is not a student at the elementary school.
