The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen is hosting a season preview party
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest with the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Monday to talk about their upcoming season preview party.
8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by K Alferio, President and CEO of the Cultural Arts Center, to talk about what people can expect at the event, which offers an inside look at the center's upcoming season.
"We have national acts, we have some of the best music you've never heard of acts and some of the most popular local acts," Alferio said.
People will have the chance to see the Glen Miller Orchestra, the Capitol Fools and a surprise local group will be paired with the Richmond Symphony.
The preview party will take place on Monday, June 9 from 6 to 8 p.m., at 2880 Mountain Road in Glen Allen, offering the public not just a preview, but a chance to purchase tickets before subscriptions go on sale to the general public.
"In addition to our classes and shows, we have art galleries, so people are free to come in -- it's free to browse," Alferio said.
There are also opportunities for people to rent out the facilities for weddings or recitals, as Alferio said, "enjoy your event around the art."
