The Valentine to host dog-friendly tour of Richmond’s Museum District
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Valentine will host a dog-friendly History Hound walking tour of Richmond's Museum District in partnership with the Richmond SPCA on Sunday.
From 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, the Valentine will host a dog-friendly walking tour of the city's Museum District.
Attendees will learn about the history of the neighborhood west of Arthur Ashe Boulevard and learn how public art and cultural institutions continue to shape the district, according to organizers.
Walking tours are typically between one and two miles long. Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Folks of all abilities are encouraged to join. Anyone needing accommodations can notify organizers in advance by emailing tours@thevalentine.org.
Tickets are $20 for non-member adults, or $10 for Valentine members.
Tours are held rain or shine. In extreme weather, however, a tour may be canceled.
