Thief targeting multiple Virginia ABC stores in Richmond, may wear disguises

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A suspect seen wearing what may be various disguises has stolen from two Virginia ABC stores in Richmond on multiple occasions, police say.

The Richmond Police Department is investigating a string of Virginia ABC store thefts believed to involve the same suspect. The impacted stores are at 4118 W. Broad Street and 1901 W. Main Street.

In each of the incidents, the suspect has entered the store, filled either a shopping basket or cart with "multiple bottles of alcohol" and left without paying.

Police also noted that the suspect could have been wearing disguises during some of the thefts.

"Surveillance footage shows the suspect dressed in both traditionally male and female attire on different occasions," police said.
