Three injured after six-vehicle crash on Chippenham Parkway

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Three people were injured after a six-vehicle crash on Chippenham Parkway on Tuesday morning.
Just before 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, Virginia State Police troopers were called to the six-vehicle crash on Chippenham Parkway northbound at Jahnke Road.
Three people were taken to Chippenham Hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening, according to state police.
Police said a preliminary investigation shows the crash was "chain-reaction in nature" after one vehicle rear-ended another and caused multiple vehicles to collide.
The crash remains under investigation.
