Three people displaced after Colonial Heights apartment fire

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- Three people are displaced after an apartment fire in Colonial Heights on Thursday morning.

According to officials, fire and EMS units from Colonial Heights, Chesterfield County and Petersburg were called for the report of an apartment fire at 100 Lakeview Park Road at around 10:52 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13.

When Colonial Heights Fire and EMS crews arrived on scene, they found smoke coming from the two-story apartment.

Officials said the fire appeared to have started from the kitchen area, which was destroyed. The first and second floors of the apartment also had moderate to heavy smoke damage.

No injuries were reported, however, two adults and a child were displaced, according to Colonial Heights Fire and EMS.
