Town of Ashland to host 46th Annual Rails to Trails Race
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The town of Ashland in Hanover County is hosting its 46th Annual Rails to Trails Race. The race will be held on Saturday, March 22, and attendees can either participate in the 10k Rails to Trails Race, 5k Walk/Run, the Kids Fun Run, or the Center of the Universe (COTU) Challenge, which would entail running both the 5k and 10k. Participants will start and finish on the tracks in the downtown Ashland. Packet pickup is being held from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 21 at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center, and at 7 a.m. on March 22 at the race site. Awards will be given to top finishers of each gender for the 10k, 5k and the COTU Challenge. All Fun Run participants will get prizes. In addition, all registrants will get shirts.
