Trash pickup event hosted at Chickahominy Wildlife Management Area

CHARLES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources will offer a variety of volunteer opportunities on Restore the Wild Volunteer Day in late March, including one in Charles City County.

Restore the Wild Volunteer Day will be held on March 29, with an opportunity offered on Morris Creek Landing Road at the Chickahominy Wildlife Management Area in Charles City County from 10 a.m. to noon.

According to the department, volunteers will pick up trash to assist with conservation efforts while meeting other volunteers and learning more about volunteering with the department.

A total of 20 people can register for the event, according to the department.
