Tri-City Chili Peppers and Cosmic Baseball partner for Planet Fitness sponsorship

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- The Tri-City Chili Peppers and Cosmic Baseball are joining forces with Colonial Heights Planet Fitness as the official sponsor of all team fitness activities for the 2025 season, starting June 10.

According to a Wednesday release from the Tri-City Chili Peppers, the partnership will be available to all players and staff associated with the Tri-City Chili Peppers, Glow Mojis and the Cosmic Chili Peppers.

“The Tri-City Chili Peppers and Cosmic Baseball are excited about our new 2025 fitness partnership with Richmond area Planet Fitness clubs," said Chili Peppers' general manager Robert Perez. "Players and staff now have access to the Colonial Heights location to achieve their personal and professional fitness goals. With Planet Fitness’ best-in-class strength and cardio equipment and welcoming environment for all fitness levels, this partnership is a great opportunity to combine two influential brands locally."

The 2025 season has kicked off with the Tri-City Chili Peppers looked to become .500 against the Peninsula Pilots on June 8, while the Cosmic Peppers and the Glow Mojis were tied in series wins. Glow Mojis won in Durham, North Carolina, and the Peppers won in Lehigh, Pa.

In their debut at Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights, the Cosmic Peppers reportedly broke the tie Tuesday evening, June 17.

The team's tour recently returned to Nashville on Friday, June 13.
