Two people injured in three-vehicle crash on I-295 South in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that closed two lanes on Interstate 295 South in Chesterfield County on Tuesday morning.

At 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, Virginia State Police troopers were called to I-295 South -- just south of the Varina-Enon Bridge at mile marker 18, for a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer.

According to police, two people were taken to the hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

The left and center lanes are closed as of the time of reporting, as first responders are working to clear the scene.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
