Two without a home after Chesterfield apartment fire

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people are without a home after an apartment fire in Chesterfield County early Monday evening.

Just before 5 p.m. on Monday, March 9, crews with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS were called to the 2800 block of Camberwell Road for report of an apartment fire.

When they arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming from an apartment. They then found fire on the apartment's stove.

Crews were able to put the fire out within 20 minutes.

The fire's damage was contained to the kitchen of the involved apartment. While no one was hurt, this damage displaced the apartment's two residents. They are being assisted by the Red Cross.
