University of Richmond evacuates dorm building due to gas leak
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The University of Richmond evacuated students and staff from the Lora Robins Court dorm building due to a gas leak on Wednesday. According to the university, the cause of the gas leak at Lora Robins Court was an external underground tank that is not connected to the building. As of 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, students and staff were not allowed inside of the building. However, fire crews have remained on the scene. Once all is cleared by the Richmond Fire Department, residents will be allowed back inside the building.
