VCU Opera to celebrate 75th anniversary with gala

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Opera is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a special gala concert and reception in late April.
The performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall in the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, located at 922 Park Avenue. The reception starts at 8:30 p.m., the university said.
According to an announcement from VCU on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 1, the event will include alumni performing alongside current students and the VCU Symphony.
Tickets are available now for $20 through Etix, and valet parking is provided.
