VDOT to close part of Chesterfield road for pipe replacement project

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close two sections of Tall Pine Road in Chesterfield County for a pipe replacement project in early April.
According to VDOT, the closures will take place near 5400 Tall Pine Road, as well as the intersection of Tall Pine Road and Old Bailey Bridge Road. The road work is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2 and Thursday, April 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at both locations.
Homeowners will still be able to access their homes during the process.
VDOT recommends drivers to use the following detours:
- Northbound: Travel south on Tall Pine Road, north to Old Bailey Bridge Road, north to Bailey Bridge Road, then west to Timber Trail Drive.
- Southbound: Travel north on Tall Pine Road, east to Timber Trail Drive, south to Bailey Bridge Road, south to Old Bailey Bridge Road, then north to Tall Pine Road.
