VDOT to close section of Five Forks Road in Amelia County for pipe replacement

AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- If weather permits, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close a section of Five Forks Road in Amelia County for a pipe replacement.

According to VDOT, a section of Five Forks Road in Amelia County will be closed for a pipe replacement project. The closure will take place on Thursday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the 13200 block of Five Forks Road.

VDOT ensures that homeowners will still be able to access their property during the operation.

Drivers are advised to take the following detour routes:

  • Eastbound Traffic: Head east on Five Forks Road, north on Cheathams Road, east on Patrick Henry Highway, south on Military Road and west on Five Forks Road.
  • Westbound Traffic: Head west on Five Forks Road, north on Military Road, west on Patrick Henry Highway, south to Cheatham Road and west on Five Forks Road.
