VDOT to close section of Graymoss Road for pipe replacement project
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Graymoss Road in Chesterfield County will be closed for one day next week for work on a pipe replacement project.
According to a release on Monday, VDOT will close a section of Graymoss Road between Gateline Drive and Turngate Road for the project.
The closure will take place from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, according to VDOT. The pipe replacement project will be dependent on weather conditions.
While residents in the area will still have access to their homes, VDOT recommends drivers follow the following detours:
- Eastbound Traffic: Travel north on Route 3028 (Gateline Drive), then west on Route 3025 (Irongate Drive), then south on Route 3024 (Turngate Road) back to Graymoss Road.
- Westbound Traffic: Travel north on Route 3024 (Turngate Road), then east on Route 3025 (Irongate Drive), then south on Route 3028 (Gateline Drive) back to Graymoss Road.
