Vicious Biscuit to open first-ever Virginia restaurant in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Vicious Biscuit, a fast-casual breakfast restaurant, will open its first-ever Virginia location in Richmond.

In a Feb. 11 press release, Vicious Biscuit announced that it is bringing its "breakfast rebellion" to Richmond. Though an official opening date has not yet been shared, the 3,678-square-foot restaurant will eventually be located at 3036 Stony Point Road in Stony Point Village.

Franchise partner GR Waldrop, a Virginia native and longtime Jersey Mike's operator, will run the new restaurant, per the release.

Vicious Biscuit, which describes itself as a Southern-grown business, currently has a dozen locations scattered across the eastern United States -- but none in Virginia.

“Richmond deserves a brunch spot that delivers big flavor, genuine hospitality, and a fun vibe without the long wait,” Waldrop said in the release. “Stony Point is a high-visibility, easy-to-reach destination for locals and visitors, and it’s the home for our first Virginia restaurant. We can’t wait to welcome the community in, introduce them to our bold biscuit creations and become part of their morning and weekend routine.”

Vicious Biscuit said that further details, including the restaurant's opening date, will be announced "in the coming months."
