RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Richmond resident watched as a driver crashed a stolen car into her front porch late Tuesday night.

At about 11:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, officers with the Richmond Police Department were on patrol in the area of Creighton and Nine Mile roads when they noticed a car that had been reported stolen in an armed carjacking.

The officers attempted to pull over the car, but according to police, its driver refused to stop.

Officers began a pursuit, which quickly ended when the driver crashed into a concrete porch in the 3600 block of East Broad Street. The driver then fled the car, per police. Officers found a firearm with an extended magazine inside.
